Welded wire mesh (also called welded wire fabric or weldmesh) is a prefabricated steel grid made by electric fusion welding. It consists of parallel longitudinal wires, accurately spaced and welded to cross wires at the required intervals. The mesh is produced on machines that ensure precise dimensional control, helping save time, labour, and cost.
Available in a wide range of sizes and shapes, welded mesh is widely used in agriculture, industry, transportation, horticulture, and food handling. It is also commonly used for mining, gardening, machine guards, and decorative applications. Weld mesh generally refers to barrier fencing manufactured in square or rectangular openings.

What is Chain Link Fencing?
Chain link fencing (also called wire netting, diamond mesh, or cyclone fencing) is a woven fence made from steel wire formed into a zig-zag pattern and interlocked to create a strong diamond-shaped mesh.
It is widely used because it offers strength, visibility, airflow, and a cost-effective way to secure boundaries for industrial, commercial, and residential sites.

- Factory, warehouse, and yard boundary fencing
- Sports grounds and open plots
- Schools, parks, and residential perimeters
- Animal enclosures and farm fencing
Chain link mesh for poultry farm fencing is a durable, versatile wire fence made from woven steel wire that forms a strong diamond-shaped (rhombus) mesh. It can be finished in different colours, so it blends well with the surroundings while maintaining visibility and airflow.
Applications
It is used across many sites depending on wire gauge and mesh size:
• Light gauge / larger mesh: homes and commercial areas, swimming pools, parks, gardens, building boundaries, warehouse partitions, schools, hospitals, etc.
• Heavy gauge / smaller mesh: areas needing higher security—manufacturing units, military establishments, data centres, financial institutions, universities, railways, airports, highways, oil & gas facilities, chemical plants, warehouse perimeters, and poultry farms.
Benefits & Features
Chain link remains a preferred option because the flexible fabric makes installation easier on uneven terrain, slopes, and corners. It is also a cost-effective fencing system with long service life and low maintenance.
Specifications
Wire size: 1.60 mm (16 SWG), 2.00 mm (14 SWG).
Enclosing Chicken Coops: Used to create boundaries around chicken coops to keep chickens safe from predators and prevent them from wandering.
Building Chicken Runs: Used to construct outdoor enclosures (runs) where chickens can roam freely while remaining protected from predators.
Garden Protection: Installed around gardens to prevent chickens and other small animals from accessing and damaging plants and crops.
Composting Area Enclosure: Used to create bins or enclosures for composting organic materials, keeping them contained and aerated.
Pet Enclosures: Used to create temporary or permanent enclosures for pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, or small dogs.
Boundary Fencing: Used as a lightweight and flexible boundary fencing for properties to mark property lines or to create temporary barriers.
DIY Projects: Utilized in various DIY projects such as crafting decorative items, making cages for small animals, or creating trellises for plants.
Temporary Fencing: Used in construction sites or events as temporary fencing to control access or provide security.
Vegetable Garden Protection: Used to protect vegetable gardens from birds, rabbits, and other small animals that may eat or damage the plants.
Erosion Control: Used in landscaping and erosion control projects to stabilize soil and prevent erosion in specific areas.

Welded wire mesh (also called welded wire fabric or weldmesh) is a ready-made steel grid produced by electric resistance (fusion) welding. It is made from straight longitudinal wires, evenly spaced and welded to cross wires at fixed intervals, creating a strong, uniform, and stable mesh.
Made on precision machinery, welded mesh delivers excellent dimensional accuracy and can help reduce installation time, labour, and overall cost.
Common uses of welded wire mesh include:
- Safety covers
- Fencing and cages
- Stairways and balustrades
- Catwalks
- Large construction works
- Anti-theft screens
- Shelving and storage
- Fishing traps
- Tree guards
- Bird cages
Galvanised welded wire mesh is manufactured from steel wire and coated with zinc to provide superior corrosion resistance and a longer service life.
The “17 mm” specification typically refers to the aperture (opening) size, meaning each square opening is approximately 17 mm × 17 mm.
This mesh is formed by welding every wire intersection, resulting in a rigid, durable, and dimensionally consistent grid.
Typical specifications:
- Wire gauge (thickness): varies by requirement, commonly from 12 gauge (≈ 2.50–2.65 mm) to 18 gauge (≈ 1.20 mm)
- Mesh sizes: available in multiple aperture options (e.g., 1/2 inch, 1 inch, and more) for fencing, construction, industrial, and agricultural applications.
Barbed wire is an effective add-on for chain link fencing, used to increase security along boundary lines. It is made by twisting two line wires together and fixing sharp barbs at regular intervals (typically 4 inches apart).
The standard construction uses a 12 gauge / 2.5 mm wire as the line wire (running wire) and a 14 gauge / 2.0 mm wire as the barb wire. However, based on customer requirements, we also manufacture barbed wire with 12 gauge used for both the line wire and the barbs.
Barbed wire is installed along the perimeter, and the spacing between two parallel lines of barbed wire can be provided as per site requirement.
Types of Barbed Wire:
- 12 x 12 (12 Gauge line wire & 12 Gauge barbs)
- 12 x 14 (12 Gauge line wire & 14 Gauge barbs)
- 14 x 14 (14 Gauge line wire & 14 Gauge barbs)
Concertina razor wire is known by different names across regions and industries. Common alternate names include:
- Razor Wire – the most widely used term, highlighting the sharp, blade-like edges designed to deter intrusion.
- Barbed Tape – refers to the flat, tape-style strip fitted with barbs/blades.
- Razor Ribbon – often used interchangeably with razor wire, especially in North America.
- Razor Coil – describes the coiled form that expands into a concertina pattern.
- Barbed Wire – sometimes used casually for razor wire, although traditional barbed wire uses barbs rather than blades (so the term is less precise).
Concertina (razor) wire is a modern high-security fencing material made from hot-dip galvanized steel or stainless steel strips, formed around a high-tensile core wire. Its sharp cutting edges, strength, and durability make it suitable for heavy-duty perimeter protection.
Concertina razor wire is commonly installed around high-security residential premises, warehouses, industrial sites, and military or restricted areas, or anywhere that requires strong anti-climb and anti-intrusion security.
Types of Concertina:
- Concertina Coil (450 mm & 600 mm)
- Concertina RBT
